Hometown Star Competition

The Palatine Jaycees are seeking contestants for Hometown Star, their first Hometown Fest singing competition, to perform at first round auditions on June 18th. The audition winners will advance to the finals to be held at Noon on the main stage at Hometown Fest on July 4th.

A panel of judges will decide on the top five contestants who will move on to the finals at Hometown Fest.  Finalists at Hometown Fest will be scored half on audience reaction and half by the judges based on their technical and stage skills as well as on their overall performance.  Those who wish to audition should send their request by email to hometownfest@palatinejaycees.org.

“Contestants can perform a song of their choice at the June 18th auditions, which we are keeping closed to the public,” said Hometown Fest Chair Traci Hinshaw.  “We want to give the opportunity for local singers to showcase their talent and maybe launch a career in the music industry.”
